Louine Noble was born July 22, 1940, in Bishop, Texas to Brunos Earl Noble and Rachel Ruth Davis Noble. She passed away on September 2, 2020.

In 1949, the family moved to Lockhart and in 1958 she graduated from Lockhart High School. She graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music, voice performance, from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. During the summers of 1968 and 1969 she was awarded a musical internship to work with the Boston Symphony at the Tanglewood Festival in Lenox, Massachusetts. During 1969-1970, Louine lived in Zurich, Switzerland, where she was a member of the Zurich Opera Studio.

Returning to the United States in 1970 she began her teaching career in Pearsall, Texas, where she taught second grade. For a brief time she taught on a federally funded music project in the state of Maine.

Returning to Texas she continued her teaching career in Liberty Hill where she remained until 1991. During this time she taught sixth grade, was elementary principal, and superintendent of schools. She continued her education career at Education Service Center, Region XIII, where she served as a field service agent and later coordinator of administrative services. Following retirement from the service center in August 1995, she established a consulting business that provided much joy from continuing to work with her many friends in education. This included a relationship with Texas State University in which she mentored and coordinated activities for individuals working toward certification as public school administrators.

Throughout her life Louine loved to travel, and was active and vocal until the end in her support of public schools (particularly those in Liberty Hill!), as well as community activities such as Operation Liberty Hill and Over the Hill Gang.

Louine will be particularly missed at Cross Tracks Church, on which she left incredible and indelible marks. She founded the church choir in the 1990s and was its director until the COVID-19 hiatus. She was also impetus for starting the Grandies, a fellowship/mission group for senior citizens. She served many years as Director of Music and as chair of the Worship Committee, plus being involved with other church committees and activities too numerous to mention. Her church activities were entirely voluntary, never paid; she set a high standard for service to our Lord.

Louine was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ruth Noble, a brother and his wife, Earl Joe and Charlene Noble, and a sister, Rachel Moore.

She is survived by a very dear friend, Donna Precht, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many dear friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, in the Liberty Hill High School Performing Arts Center.

Memorials may be made to Cross Tracks Church, Liberty Hill, or to the charity of your choice.

Phillip Jefferson Walker

Phillip Jefferson Walker, best known as Jeff or Coach Walker, passed away on November 30, 2020.

He was born on September 10, 1968 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Pamela Newell and Daniel Lee Walker. Jeff attended Calallen High School where he played football and was an All-State running back. He attended Texas State University in San Marcos, completing his degree to reach his goal of becoming a teacher and coach. In 2000, he married Miranda Lewis and they were married for 20 years, sharing a love of family, football (and all sports in general), travel, and their twin daughters, Regan and Madison.

He started his coaching career at San Marcos ISD in 1999 under Bruce Bush at both Goodnight and Miller Junior High Schools. In 2001, he started his varsity coaching career under Coach Jerry Vance at Liberty Hill High School where he stayed until 2008. He served as Offensive Coordinator for the Panthers starting in 2002 and was part of the teams that won back-to-back State Championships in 2006 and 2007. In 2008, he left Liberty Hill to be Athletic Director/Head Football Coach at Rogers High School. He served there for six years accumulating a record of 59-13.

In 2014, he returned to Liberty Hill as a Special Education Teacher at the Junior High. In 2016, he had the opportunity to serve as Girls Athletic Coordinator, which included the joy of coaching his own daughters. In 2017, he became Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Liberty Hill High School and served until his passing. He accumulated a record of 38-11 and played in the State Championship in 2018. He completed the regular season of 2020 with an 8-0 record and the team will continue to the playoffs.

While Coach Walker cared little about awards, it was truly an honor to be selected as Coach of the Year in 2018 ALL-CENTEX Sports Awards. His biggest philosophy in coaching (besides the Slot-T) was “we’re going to do what’s best for the kids”. He was tough because he wanted his players to succeed not just in sports but in life. It was an honor and a privilege for him to have the opportunity to be a part of their lives. While Football was the sport he mainly coached, as Athletic Director both at Rogers ISD and Liberty Hill ISD he was focused on supporting the success of all athletic programs. He took great pride in the achievements of each sport and enjoyed the opportunity to attend as many games, meets, and matches as possible. Coach Walker was a person who intensely focused on family, coaching, and his players.

Coach Walker is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Miranda and his daughters: Regan and Madison; his brothers and their families: Kent and Sarah Walker, Danny and Alisa Walker, and nephews: Daniel Walker and wife Colleen, Will Walker, and Eli Walker; his stepmother Donice Walker; his stepfather Mike Lingle; and his mother-in-law Margaret Lewis.

There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Coach Walker at a date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Liberty Hill ISD Education Foundation in Coach Walker’s name. www.LHeducationfoundation.org or mail checks to the administration office: LHISD Education Foundation ATTN: Kristy Kercheville, Executive Director, 301 Forrest Street, Liberty Hill, TX 78642. Bobby loved sports of all kinds – bird hunting, coaching girls’ softball, bowling, even playing for the Nassau Bay Bombers rugby team for a couple of years. He was a big fan of all the Houston pro teams: Astros, Rockets, Oilers (and now Texans). Elisabeth Derer Harris (Lisa/Liesel) was born in Ober-Stuben, Czechoslovakia, on April 10, 1939 to Johann and Maria Derer. She passed away on January 15, 2021 in Liberty Hill, Texas. During World War II her family had to immigrate to Germany, settling in Klein-Umstadt, Germany.

Lisa was introduced to her husband, Robert Harris (Bob), an American soldier, on a blind date, and they were soon married. Over the years the US Army deployed them to US bases in several states and in Germany. On their first tour to Texas Lisa did not yet speak English, and she learned English in part by watching game shows like “The Price is Right”, a show she continued to enjoy until the end of her life.

Lisa’s endearing German accent in her spoken English was always good for a warm smile by those who knew her. Once when she was out driving, looking for a new Bingo spot, she was pulled over by a policeman for swerving on the feeder road. She immediately said, “Offizíer, I em not dRunk, I em chest looking for a new Bingo Schpaht, unt venn you are olt like me – venn you look ovah hier, your cár goes ovah hier”. He just smiled and let her go.

Everyone she knew loved her delicious German cooking, and in the 70s she realized her dream of having a German restaurant in America. She started the “Lisa’s Schnitzel Haus” in Lampasas, TX. The restaurant was later owned by her brother, Helmut Derer and his wife Marianne, who meanwhile had also immigrated to America. People came from far and near to taste her excellent German cooking. Although the Schnitzel Haus was small, her regular guests included not only local diners but also soldiers and military officers including Generals from Fort Hood and beyond.

Lisa told everyone that she had four of the best daughters, who were her angels. Even in the final days of her life she was overheard telling a caregiver that she had such wonderful daughters. She said that after her death she would be watching them to make sure they stayed that way.

Another passion besides her family was playing Bingo. She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her Bingo buddies. That was her happy place.

Lisa was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Robert Edward Harris, her parents Johann and Maria Derer (Germany), deceased siblings and spouses, Hilde and Sepp Bohm (Germany), Maria and Manfred Hiemenz (Germany), Frieda Grimm (Australia), and Anna and Henry Hohendorf (Florida, USA), nephew Richie Hohendorf (Florida, USA).

Survivors include her daughters and their spouses Marita Lloyd of Liberty Hill, Texas, Chris and Jim Copeland of Bellaire, TX, Linda Harris and Reggie Leuty of Cedar Park, TX, Jill and Nathan Cearley of Liberty Hill, TX. Her siblings and spouses Josef and Helga Derer, Resie Derer, Siegfried Grimm, Helmut and Marianne Derer; grandchildren Victoria Knam, Stephanie and Jeffrey Brown, Nick Copeland, Carson Cearley, Kinley Cearley; great grandchildren Samantha Lloyd, Perry Brown, and Celine Copeland and numerous nieces and nephews.

Makenzie Elisabeth Rybarski

Makenzie Elisabeth Rybarski received her beautiful blue angel wings and went Home to be with God on February 13, 2021, while surrounded by the love of her parents, sister, and brother. Makenzie was born on June 22, 1995, in Austin, Texas, and was the oldest of three children born to Chris and Laurel Rybarski.

Makenzie graduated from Liberty Hill High School in 2013, then attended the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired from 2014-2017.

Makenzie was diagnosed at the age of 15 with a devastating and rare disorder called MPAN, after having suffered symptoms since the age of 12, and battled the crushing effects of the disorder until her passing. Even as her disorder progressed and her days became harder, this sweet girl was still only able to see the good in her life. Makenzie never had a “bad day”, and she was always her family’s shining light when they got home each day. Whenever her family asked how her day was, she would always smile and reply, “Great, as always!”

Makenzie was a “Daddy’s girl” from day one and they always shared a very special bond. Makenzie was her Mom’s “wing-woman” and they went almost everywhere together. Makenzie was a big sister, first and foremost; Makenzie loved and idolized her siblings, and they doted over her and loved her in return.

Makenzie loved getting out and about; it never mattered to her where she was going, so long as she went. Makenzie was a great companion because she was easy-going and enjoyed life.

Makenzie enjoyed listening to and singing country music songs. Her favorite artist was George Strait and she knew the words to almost all of his songs, with her favorite being “Baby Blue”.

Makenzie delighted in going to the beach and snow skiing, both of which are family favorite vacations. When at the beach, Makenzie enjoyed riding the waves in an inner tube — the bigger the waves, the harder the laughs. When snow skiing, she was always thrilled to be able to ski with her family, with the help of the instructors and a Bi-Ski at Ski Apache Adaptive Sports. Makenzie wasn’t afraid of anything and lived her life to the fullest; and her Mom and Dad ensured, to the best of their ability, that she was able to do just that.

Makenzie was an avid Texas Stars hockey fan and relished going to the games with her family. She thrived on the atmosphere of the arena and was always excited to give her Dad the traditional “high-five” when the Stars scored.

Makenzie was happy, positive, forgiving, never met a stranger, and loved truly and unconditionally. She had a contagious personality, brightened any room she entered, and always left a lasting impression on anyone she met. Makenzie touched the hearts of so many; moreover, because of her, the Rybarski family was able to meet and bring into their lives many wonderful and warm-hearted individuals. Makenzie’s family is thankful and honored that God entrusted her to them to care for and experience her journey together. They wouldn’t have wanted their lives to be any other way and believe they are better people because of her. Makenzie is, without a doubt, one of the best things that ever happened to them. Makenzie will be loved, missed, and in our hearts, now and forever! “So here’s to you and whoever holds our baby blue tonight…”

Makenzie continues to be loved and cherished by her parents, Chris and Laurel Rybarski, little sister Kendall, and little brother Lane, as well as many other family members, including: grandparents Steve and Joy Rybarski, Elizabeth Lee, and Freeman (Mitch) and Gale Mitchell; uncles and aunts Kevin and Sarah Rybarski, Robert and Kris Mitchell, and Wayne and Barbara Mitchell; cousins, Tye Rybarski, Daniel Rybarski, Garrett and Sarah Mitchell, Caden Mitchell, Kendra Mitchell, Dawson Mitchell, Walker Mitchell and Reese Mitchell; and long-time caregivers, Mary Mapel, Angelica Williams, and Vanessa DeAbreu.
